Attend A Performance
Important Concert Etiquette Reminders
-
No food or beverages are permitted
-
Clapping is permitted after musical numbers, but if there is a multi-movement work, please wait until the work is performed in its entirety.
-
Do not talk or whisper during the music and avoid unnecessary moving around since these are a distraction for both performers and those sitting around you. All performances are professionally recorded for radio, PR, and our website, so noises are difficult to remove from the recording.
-
Please attempt to control coughing and please have lozenges on hand and unwrapped.
-
Silence your phones and disconnect from electronic devices before the performance begins. (Though, feel free to take selfies and “check-in” on social media before and/or after the concert.)
-
Audio and video recordings are strictly prohibited during the entire performance. Also, please do not take pictures during musical numbers.
-
Stay seated when music is being performed unless it is an emergency. If you must leave early, please wait until the music selection has ended.
-
Children 8 and older, who can sit quietly and appreciate the performance, are welcome to attend. It is important that all who attend the concert can appreciate the music without distractions.
