Maestro Rossi has over 40 years of professional expertise in a variety of musical and artistic genres. Maestro Rossi has conducted choirs, orchestras, operas, and musical productions and has performed as a singer, organist, harpsichordist, and pianist all around the world. In addition to being the founder and music director of Transcendence, Rossi has also founded several other professional ensembles over the years. With his extensive professional experience and musical aptitude, Rossi hopes to lead Transcendence in bringing unique and exciting performances to Virginia Beach. Carolyn Maddox, treasurer
Carolyn Maddox is the founding owner of MiCar Collision Center:
She joins our board with more than 30 years in experience in business. Working together with her husband she has developed relationships with insurance companies, customers and employees, she brings a wealth of expertise in business development, marketing, community engagement as well as customer and employee retention.
Born and raised in Norfolk, Carolyn and her husband Mike have lived in Chesapeake for more than 35 years. They have 4 children and 7 grandchildren.
Regina Rossi Valentine, member
Regina Rossi Valentine's extensive professional performance career spans
4 decades local, national and international complimented by over 3 decades of comprehensive work in the corporate world, supporting at the Executive Level. As a dual business owner, her focus is on delivering the highest quality with a dedication to superior customer service. Her proficiency in these two worlds affords her the ability to see things from both the artist and business side. She is also the co-owner of Our Sand Castle, LLC, a short-term rental property in the heart of Sandbridge Beach.
Monique P. McWhite, secretary
Monique P. McWhite is the founding Director of the Business Development Center at Old Dominion University’s Institute for Innovation & Entrepreneurship. With over 20 years of experience in government contracting, entrepreneurship, and community development, she brings expertise in strategic partnerships, outreach, and business growth. A graduate of VCU’s School of the Arts, Monique is also a professional commissioned artist whose work has been exhibited across Virginia. Her art can be viewed at:
A lifelong Virginia Beach resident, she blends business leadership with creative vision, making her a dynamic force in supporting the success and impact of Transcendence.
Katherine Sanford Schrock, member
Katherine Sanford Schrock is an operatic soprano and nonprofit HR professional. She has performed as a principal artist with organizations such as the Virginia Opera, Nashville Opera, Opera Colorado, Opera San Jose, Annapolis Symphony Orchestra, Baltimore Chorale Society, among others. In addition to her artistic work, Katherine brings expertise in nonprofit human resources, supporting equitable hiring and organizational growth. She holds music degrees from the University of Michigan and the University of Maryland.

Ross Winfield, member
Since 2000, Ross Winfield has been dedicated to helping individuals, families and businesses build their financial futures. His focus is to protect your families and businesses, and help them grow the assets that they have already built.
Ross was born and raised in Virginia Beach, Virginia. In 2000, Ross married his high school sweetheart, Kristy, and they now have four wonderful children. His family enjoys staying busy by spending time at the beach, pool, and sporting events. Family is very important to Ross and influences the way he runs his practice.
Ross received his Bachelor of Science degree in Communication from James Madison University in 1999, and was NAIFA-Tidewater President in 2011. As an active member of the community, Ross is involved as Feed Our Neighbor Chair; St. John the Apostle Finance Council Chair; VB Vision Board Member, and a member of Cape Henry Collegiate Board of Trustees. Ross attends many educational workshops to maintain his due diligence to his clients and practice. He also organizes and conducts informational seminars for both individuals and corporations.
